His Grace Bishop Silvester Kisitu merrily welcomed Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga, the Katikkiro of Buganda in Jinja on Saturday 5 October 2024. The Bishop of Jinja prayed and blessed the function’s opening at Kampala University, Jinja Campus.
His Grace thanked the Buganda premier for strengthening the friendship between the Busoga and Buganda kingdoms in a good spirit. I also appreciate the leadership of Kampala University for hosting this great function,” he added.
The Katikkiro began his three-day tour in Busoga on 4 October by paying a courtesy visit to His Majesty William Nadiope Gabula IV – the Kyabazinga at Igenge Palace in Bugembe. He was welcomed by the enthusiastic members of Nkoba za Mbogo youth association whose leaders he engaged with thereafter.
