Elevation of Rev. Fr. Costantine Mbonabingi to a priestly order of an Archimandrite.

For the first time in the History of the Orthodox Church in Uganda, His Eminence Metropolitan Jonah Lwanga performed the ceremony of Elevating a priest to a level of an Archimandrite in Western Uganda.

On 25th May 2017, as the Orthodox community of Holy Ascension Orthodox Church Ngombe (Fort portal) Celebrated their feast day, The Parish priest of the center and the Dean of the region Rev. Fr. Costantine Mbonabingi was elevated to a level of an Archimandrite. . After finishing his education in theology in the USA, he was ordained to priesthood in 1996.
The ceremony was graced by all the Deans of the nine (9) Deaneries of the Uganda Orthodox Church.
