Today November 21 which is the glorious day of the Presentation / Entrance of the Theotokos into the Temple, His Eminence Metropolitan Jeronymos presided over Divine Liturgy at the Temple of the Presentation of the Theotokos in Magoma, Luweero District. The service was co-celebrated alongside Fr. John Kibuuka the Vicar General, Fr. Patrick Kakande the Parish Priest, Fr. Mutaasa Paul and Fr. Sempijja Antonios.
The Metropolitan in his sermon reflected on the feast of the Presentation of the Theotokos to stress the values and relevance of Family stressing that the act of Joakim and Anna bringing Mary to the Temple was a sign of having a strong family focused on the values of the Ekklesia.
He used the same feast to announce the inaugural celebrations of the Annual FAMILY DAY (21 November) in the Diocese of Kampala stressing that the faithful should always use this day to reflect on the relevance of the Family in our Church.
He urged all faithful disguising in the act of cohabiting to try all means possible while reflecting on the Holy Scriptures and being guided by their spiritual fathers to consider with much effort cleansing their union through the mystery of holy matrimony.
He concluded by encouraging the faithful to uphold their faith, blessing them and wishing them a happy feasting.
