His Beatitude Pope and Patriarch Theodoros II completes his visit to Uganda with meeting President Yoweri Museveni.

His Beatitude Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa Theodoros II has concluded his pastoral visit to Uganda.

Today as he set off, the Patriarch and his Entourage visited His Excellency President Kaguta Yoweri K. Museveni at State House Entebbe. The Pope commended the hospitality rendered to him by the government of Uganda from the time he entered Uganda until today and also appreciated the cordial relationship the Church shares with the State.

The President thanked the Pope for loving Uganda referring to all his previous visits and also thanked him for Blessing the motherland.

His Beatitude informed the president that he has organized for an offer from an acquaintance of his in Russia to bring in Uganda 20,000 Covid vaccines and this shall be done through the Embassy is of Uganda in Rome and Ugandan Counsolate in Athens.

Further in there conversation, His Beatitude also informed the President of the good and friendly relationship that he shares with the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, whom he commended also for his good work in Egypt.

His Beatitude also expressed His wish to host His Excellence President Museveni at the Patriarchate sometime.

The Patriarch finally wished many blessings of the Lord to the president with many years of good health to Uganda.

His Beatitude now continues with his pastoral visits to Bukoba – Tanzania, South Africa among others.
