Our Beloved brothers and Sisters, faithful of the Holy Metropolis of Kampala, the clergy and faithful of Northern Region, Holy Diocese of Gulu and Eastern Uganda, wish to express our heart felt Condolences from here in Gulu, for the passing on of His Eminence Metropolitan Jonah Lwanga. With tremendously heavy heart we received the sad news of his passing away.
In addition to being devout Father, his numerous contribution to the spread of the Orthodoxy in Uganda will be remembered. We also had the blessing of having him as our Spiritual father for many years, when our region was still under the Metropolis of Kampala.
May God comfort you during this time of the immeasurable loss and with the blessing of our Bishop Silvester Kisitu, we are always with you in spirit.
